Boats - Pulau Ketam, Malaysia (mixed media)

£40.00

(click on image to see full print)

Pulau Ketam is a small island off the west coast of Malaysia. When I first visited in the 1980s these boats were the way on and off for almost everything. At the time I was taken by the circular shape of all the boats moored to a central pole - this became the focal point of my linoprint. Nowadays travel to and from the island is by larger, less characterful vessels.

Size: 26 cm x 18.5 cm (on 41.5 x 28.0 cm paper)

Hand-printed linocut then coloured using gouache. As a consequence of colouring each print with gouache no two pictures are the same. I printed this on a light buff coloured paper.

Sold unframed
